Madeline Andrews is a former Duke student who now resides in New York City. At Duke, she wrote a fashion column for “The Chronicle’s” recess section. She graduated from Duke in 2006 and started working as a fashion assistant at Conde Naste’s “Glamour Magazine” soon after.
“Glamour” is a magazine for young women interested in fashion, beauty and a contemporary lifestyle. Founded in 1939, it was originally called “Glamour of Hollywood.” It is now published in many countries including the UK, USA, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Russia, Greece, Poland, South Africa, Hungary, Romania, The Netherlands, and in a Latin American edition. It will soon be launched in Australia. It hosts an annual “Woman of the Year” awards and has a trademark section called “Glamours Do’s and Dont’s” in which the magazine places a black bar across the faces of the fashionably challenged. The woman of the year for 2007 was professional golfer Lorena Ochoa. The circulation of “Glamour” is over 2 million.
Matt Greenfield is the graphics PA for NBC’s “The Today Show.” “The Today Show” is a morning news and talk show, which debuted on January 14, 1952. It was the first of its genre and many other networks such as ABC (Good Morning America) and CBS (The Early Show) came out with their own morning news and talk shows. It was originally a two hour program on the weekdays , but expanded to 1 hour on Sundays in 1987, 2 hours on Saturdays in 1992, 3 hours weekdays in 2000 and in 2007 it added a fourth day to its weekday program. Famous anchors include Tom Brokaw, Hugh Downs, Matt Lauer, Barbara Walters and Katie Couric. It is currently anchored by Matt Lauer and Meredith Vieira, formerly of Barbara Walter’s “The View.” The current cast includes Matt Lauer, Meredith Vieira, Al Roker (weather), Ann Curry (news) and Natalie Morales (correspondent). Hoda Kotb and Kathy Lee Gifford co-host the fourth hour.
