Madeline Andrews is a
fashion assistant for Glamour, a monthly women’s magazine. With a
circulation of approximately 2 million (and rising), the magazine publishes
American, British, German, and South African editions. Glamour features
pieces on ‘fashion’, ‘beauty’, ‘sex, love, & live’, and ‘health &
fitness’. Cindi Lieve, the magazine’s US
editor-in-chief, topped Forbes’ list of America’s
most influential fashion magazine editors in September 2008.

            Andrews
graduated magna cum laude from Duke in 2006. During her senior year, she
inked a short column in the Chronicle’s Recess Magazine, sharing fashion
tips for the winter season. Upon graduation, she immediately went on to work at
Glamour.

            Matt
Greenfield
works for NBC’s Today Show. He joined as graphics PA for
the show in September 2006.

            The Today
Show
is a four hour breakfast television program that airs on NBC Monday
through Friday. In talk-show format, it airs news, entertainment, weather and
special features. Matt Lauer and Katie Couric co-hosted the show together from
1994 to 2006, when Couric left to CBS Evening News, and was replaced on Today by Meredith Vieira. Currently, Today’s cast consists of
(in addition to Lauer and Vieira), Ann Curry (news), Al Roker (weather), and
Natalie Morales (correspondence).

            The show’s
only major competitor is ABC’s Good Morning America.

Kirsa Rein is a 2003
Duke University graduate.
She now works in editing with Simon and Schuster. The company publishes
information and entertainment, for both adults and children, in print, digital,
and audio formats. It publishes in the United
States, Canada, Britain and Australia
(and is currently piloting a local publishing program in India).

            Since it
was founded in 1924, Simon and Schuster has published countless #1 New York
Times bestsellers – indeed, 17 in 2007 alone. Simon and Schuster is owned by
the CBS Corporation, an American media conglomerate. Its competitors in
English-language publishing (each owned by its respective media conglomerate)
include HarperCollins (NewsCorp), Penguin Group (Pearson PLC), and Random House
(Bertelsmann’s).
